It doesn’t need much explanation – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is probably still considered the greatest musical genius of all time. Mozart was born in Salzburg and spent most of the 35 years of his life in Vienna, even though he spent about 10 years traveling. There is almost no place in Vienna that one cannot associate with him. He played at Schönbrunn, the Hofburg, St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the state halls of the National Library. And he lived in about 17 different apartments in Vienna between 1762 and 1790, mainly in the first district. If he had known our Pension Riedl, he would certainly have stayed here.
